Börger pumps help turn disasters into inconveniences
In a fire or flood, the ability to move large quantities of water quickly and reliably often can turn a potential disaster into an inconvenience. For many public and private fire brigades and flood mitigation organisations it’s a pump made by Börger GmbH of Borken-Weseke, Germany that makes the difference.
For more than 35 years, Börger’s high-quality rotary lobe pumps, many of which are powered by Perkins engines, have been the choice of many disaster control professionals. Users include the fire brigade of a leading German chemical company and the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW).
Börger relies on Perkins engines to power the high-performance mobile pumps chose by these, and other, disaster control professionals. The fire brigade’s pump is powered by a 129 kW 1204F-E44TTA and a THW flood control organisation depends on trailer-mounted Perkins powered pumps to respond to needs in multiple locations.
"Perkins engines are absolutely reliable,” said Anne Börger-Olthoff, managing director of Börger GmbH. "It is not only the reliability of the motors that is important to us,” she added. “We can now look back on several years of trusting cooperation with our Perkins authorised distributor BU Power Systems."
